The editorial dedicated to the naturalness of summer yarns

Falconeri launches ‘Back to Essentials’, an aesthetic and sensorial journey to rediscover refined simplicity, where the protagonists are natural and sustainable materials that enhance the authentic beauty of fabric and design. The editorial focuses on iconic pieces in cotton, silk-cotton, linen, linen-cotton and silk, designed for a spring/summer season that celebrates comfort, lightness and timeless quality.

ESSENTIALITY, PURITY AND STYLE

The collection’s yarns take on a soft palette and pared-back shapes characterised by minimal contours, precise cuts and tactile textures. Cotton, which is available in different types, plays with the perceptions between body and freshness, while linen and silk lend brightness and movement to summer garments. The cotton-silk and linen-cotton blends give a natural and fluid feel, perfect for sophisticated looks with a contemporary flavour.

The location chosen for the photoshoot was the island of Milos, in Greece, amidst the imposing white limestone rocks that create a natural, authentic and uncontaminated landscape. An essential but powerful setting that echoes the roots of Mediterranean beauty and the archaic energy of Greek mythology. The models move with absolute freedom, in tune with the environment, like figures carved in stone, strong and harmonious. The neutral hues of the collection blend with the colours of the earth and sea, creating a deep connection between style, nature and material.

COTTON ACCORDING TO FALCONERI: EXCELLENCE AND TRANSPARENCY

Egyptian cotton plays a central role in the editorial.

All the cottons used are 100% natural, non-GMO and digitally traceable. Grown on the banks of the Nile, they are hand-picked to ensure that all fibres are mature, thereby avoiding imperfections and reducing the environmental impact. Compact spinning and advanced technologies allow for the production of resistant, hypoallergenic and low-pilling garments.

Three types of cotton are used:

• a rich, compact cotton that is highly wash-resistant, processed using an innovative twisting technique.
• a summer cotton, whose fresh, dry feel, breathability and lightness make it perfect for high season.
• a dynamic yarn, obtained by blending a flamed part with a regular one, to obtain a material effect and a refined surface.
