FALCONERI,

FALCONERI WOMAN SS24

One rarely takes the time to really see a flower. I have painted it big enough so that others would see what I would see.”

G. OKeefe

The new Falconeri spring-summer 2024 collection draws inspiration from the life of the eclectic American artist Georgia O’ Keeffe, whose works are grandiose representations of nature. Flowers seen from very close up, reproduced with meticulous attention to detail, enabled her to develop an original expressive language that oscillates between abstraction and figuration.

Her artistic career made her one of the most important painters, an icon of American modern art and the most influential landscape and nature scenery artist of the 20th century.

It is from the prairies of Winsconsin, where the artist was born, that our journey begins, and from the contrast of black and butter we discover the ghost ranch style spring collection. Silk garments are enriched with macro-polka dots and Aztec jacquard coats are perfect for completing spring looks.

The intense and bright colours of O’Keefe’s paintings are the perfect vitamin sea palette that brings to life timeless ultra-fine cashmere, the true core of the collection, which is enriched with two new slim ribbed styles. The new shades range from light blues, through the world of pinks, to the brightest green, enriching the collection with the unprecedented Marea, a soft shade reminiscent of the sea, Cielo, an intense shade of the spring sky, Peach Pink, Strawberry and a new Citron Green, of the liveliest fruit.

There is no lack of new outerwear and knitwear in ultra-fine garment-dyed cashmere to further enrich the collection. Starting with four new technical outerwear garments with cashmere lining: a mini trench coat with drawstring waist, a classic bomber jacket and two safari jackets, one with essential lines, and one with softer, cosier shapes, all rigorously lined in ultra-fine cashmere, without forgetting the new cashmere biker jacket for a collection that combines Falconeri quality with current trends.

The sleeveless down jacket with cashmere on the inside, the brand’s signature garment, has been reworked in the colours of the season and becomes two-tone, as have the colour block cashmere sweatshirt and the trousers with contrasting side ribbing.

Cashmere, but much more besides. With the arrival of hot weather, Falconeri turns to breathable and temperature-regulating yarns. Cotton and linen, this year also in a second variant with a lighter texture, thus become the protagonists of the new gypsy soul series, in which macramé, bandana lace and crochet feature in a wide selection of styles; with openwork motifs with laid-back appeal for tops and trousers, and other more feminine and elegant ones with knitted details, such as the striped sleeveless dress ranging from optical white to black through the warm shades of beige. We also find two new t-shirts and a cotton yarn t-shirt.

For the first time, linen is printed with macro floral motifs reminiscent of the American artist’s paintings, but also enriched with floral embroidery. Breathable and versatile, this fabric features in casual-classy styles; such as the new half-sleeve shirt, straight-leg trousers, wrap skirt and dresses of different lengths, ideal for accompanying both the holiday mood and stylish days in the office.

Spring also blossoms on the new shirts, a true must-have this season in silk, muslin and light linen with the inclusion of stripes, crochet details and the new bandana lace print.
