Can summer be summarized into 30 minutes?
The answer is yes, and this was the catwalk of Calzedonia in Verona where we got a sense of taste for this year beachwear trends.
Every year, the Summer Show of Calzedonia welcomes the hottest period of the year. This year, in Verona, the catwalk was flooded from beach looks with bright colors, tropical and sophisticated style. With a background scene from exotic flowers, lush vegetation and colorful butterflies, the models walked and danced on the catwalk wearing the most fun-loving swimwear, making the fashion show feel more like a party. The highlights of the show also include the three dancers that strongly emphasized the style of collection with their tribal looks and dance moves.
The protagonist of the show was the web-friendly #CLZ bikini collection with the vitamin- colors and the happy prints (patterns with cherries, butterflies, ice cream, tropical flowers etc.). In the spirit of the digital era and compliant with the whole concept were also the models who walked with a mobile phone in their hand and were taking selfies..
Glam touch is also a strong trend: shiny stones, sequins, sequins, rhinestones and jewels decorate the bikinis and the one-piece swimwear. Indeed, the fencing designed one-piece swimsuits, stand out for their sensual style, offering a new version of the classic black body swimsuit.
In the men’s collection, there was an explosion of colors as well, with shades of emerald and teal green but also electric green and purple.
The Brazilian Gui Fedrizzi – who is also starring in the catalogue of Calzedonia- and his friends, motivated the audience with their party mood and wearing swimsuits that make every man to be noticed. The navy prints were top, with their special details that make a difference not only in swimsuits but also in the comfortable denim pieces that you can wear all day.
