FALCONERI,

2019 FALCONERI FASHION SHOW “FROZEN”

Scorching ice. The calendar says September 11, but winter already has its icy grip on the 2019 Falconeri Fashion Show, held at the Calzedonia Group Auditorium. Everything is ready for a mental journey through arctic landscapes, dotted with icebergs and pack ice; the setting is loosely inspired by Iceland, the chosen location for the new collection campaign featuring Irina Shayk, and shot by Giampaolo Sgura.

Models strut down the catwalk, which resembles an icy path winding through arctic rock ribs. Front rows seats recall ice cubes in shape, while an aurora serves as a breathtaking backdrop for coniferous trees covered in snow. To warm up the glacial atmosphere come the fashion show looks, with their signature Falconeri natural yarns and Superior Cashmere.

COLOR & ICE: FW 2019-2020 WOMENSWEAR AND MENSWEAR PALETTE

Falconeri veers towards a new and sophisticated interplay of alternating nuances. The brand stays true to classic tones of dust and charcoal gray, as well as neutral hues, but adds a spicy touch through brighter and unexpected pops of color. Superior Cashmere – the quintessence of the brand – is tinged with guacamole green, currant red and iris blue. Vibrant colors also enliven the casual wear – such as turtleneck sweaters. Taking their cue from evocative autumn leaf hues, burnt earth tones are just as powerful. Cashmere bouclé and silk satin fabrics opt for bronze, copper and camel, that wearers can break up with teal blue, another must-have color for the season.

Perfectly reflecting the fashion show theme, ethereal juxtapositions of all the shades of white – snowflake, cream and beige – come into play. Hot new entries for the menswear palette include berry red, Istanbul blue, fern and British green to match with more classic tones of blue, gray, brown and camel.

W 2019-2020 WOMENSWEAR TRENDS

Athleisure turns into “lightweight” mode. Athleisure wear – made from warm yet ultra- lightweight cashmere yarns – is an undisputed Falconeri icon that combines a casual-chic style with the extreme comfort of performance natural yarns. “Jump In Fall” thus makes its debut, introducing sweatshirt-style knitwear, jogging pants and boxy turtleneck sweaters, for an urban and laid-back feel. “Modern Folk”, instead, is all about contrasting and juxtaposed textures. Mélange-effect cashmere bouclé meets smooth silk satin for trench coats, pencil skirts and crewnecks. A fine interplay of elements comes to life, where everything is taken into account and balanced to perfection: the softness, smoothness and opacity of materials, slight changes in color and strong yet delicate contrasts. Natural beauty. This is the theme evoked by “Soft Attitude”, a warm embrace of soft tricot fabrics, knit pants, maxi sweaters and jackets in natural colors.

FW 2019-2020 MENSWEAR TRENDS

From NYC to London: for Fall/Winter 2019-2020, Falconeri sets off on an exploratory journey to the world’s largest cities. The journey kicks off with an authentic “Techno-Urban” vibe offering both style and performance. Ultra high-tech pure wool outerwear features cashmere lining to protect you against the harshest winter chill. Cashmere fisherman rib sweaters – a staple of the collection – are now presented with a new fit, for a young and fresh appeal. The palette moves from tones of blue and gray to brown and camel, before ending on shades of berry red, teal and ink blue.

The journey then takes us to the coasts of England, with their pure “British Atmosphere”. Prince of Wales checks, Scottish tartans and oversize houndstooth patterns define jackets, outerwear and knitwear in strong colors. Cable or rib knit turtlenecks, tweed jackets with appliqués, crewnecks with houndstooth and argyle patterns complement the “British” line. The new colors for the season are ink blue, fern, teal and berry red for garment-dyed cashmere, accompanied by Istanbul blue, berry red, dark chocolate and British green for yarn-dyed cashmere.

THE FASHION SHOW IS ORGANIZED IN COLLABORATION WITH MAC AND COTRIL

The Glam Team will be composed of the MAC Cosmetics make-up team, led by Global Senior Artist Michele Magnani – who will create an authentic “ice queen” make-up look – and of the COTRIL hair styling team, guided by the expertise of Global Creative Director Giovanni Iovino, who will create a wintry “snow hair” look.
