On 29 October, Intimissimi will take the stage with a brand-new event, inviting guests to an all-white cabaret set amid grand chandeliers and café chantant performers. Verona, 29 October 2019. Joyous voices, the clickety-clack of heels and the swish of flowing silk will delight special guests as they arrive, welcomed at the box office entrance of the premiere of Intimissimi’s highly- anticipated FW 19-20 fashion show. But the real surprise is hidden inside: a light-filled space surrounded by white walls and ivory-hued furnishings.

This is White Cabaret from Intimissimi. Thousands of lights, grand chandeliers with dramatic cascading crystal pendants and a jolie café chantant atmosphere set the stage for the runway show. A pure white palette creates the perfect blank slate, the backdrop against which every woman can project her vision of herself. The experience will even be immersive for those in the audience, thanks to the spectacular artists who have created engaging custom performances for the event, a series of captivating live acts, true tableau vivants that will make Intimissimi’s vision of a modern, contemporary Folies Bergère even more enthralling.

On stage, the fall/winter 2019-20 lingerie collection will be sent down the runway: triangle bras and French knickers in lace, tone-on-tone fleurie balconette bras with matching briefs, bandeau bras and bodysuits in lace, and new bra tops in stretch leather. And then there are the prints: leopard and python on tulle, glen plaid, checks and petit polka dots. For evening, dévoré velvet with coquette fringe trim, boudoir-style dentelle lace and flashes of gold embellish the lingerie.

However, Intimissimi is much more than underwear. Elegant, menswear-inspired silk satin pajamas are composed of contrast-trimmed jackets and flowing trousers in four versatile colors: white, black, antique pink and a new shade of red. Updated versions include kimono tops worn with palazzo trousers or double- breasted jackets, and long slips with thin straps or satin tank tops over coordinated shorts, seductive and intriguing.

Accompanying them are stylish modern menswear looks from Intimissimi Uomo. Classic pajamas, in plain colours or with elegant motifs, dressing gowns, comfortable yet distinguished trousers designed to be worn at home, in various weights, materials and knits, suitable for all needs. And then there are evergreen classics like elegant knitwear and essential boxers – all-time iconic Intimissimi Uomo garments.

Through hair and make-up, Franco Gobbi and Michele Magnani will help define the Joséphine Baker 3.0 styles seen on stage. Franco Gobbi – an internationally renowned hairstylist and global brand ambassador for milk_shake – will adorn coiffures with pearls woven into the hair and cascading crystal worthy of cabaret chanteuses. Global Senior Artist at MAC Cosmetics Michele Magnani will then create luminous looks on the models’ skin, embellished by rhinestones.
